Chief Sustainability Strategist

The role of Chief Sustainability Strategist is a pivotal one at KarbonWise, where we are accelerating the transition to a low-carbon and sustainable future. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients achieve their sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sustainability Support Services: Provide expert support to client engagements on ESG, carbon accounting, life cycle analysis (LCA), and sustainability reporting.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research, benchmarking, and data analysis on sustainability and climate-related topics, utilizing datasets in Excel to prepare models, dashboards, and KPIs for clients.
  • Presentation and Collaboration: Develop client-ready presentations and proposals in PowerPoint with clear messaging and strong visuals, while engaging directly with clients and collaborating to understand needs, gather data, and co-create solutions.
  • Disclosure Preparation: Contribute to the preparation of sustainability disclosures aligned with frameworks (GRI, CSRD, BRSR, SBTi, TNFD, etc.), working closely with senior consultants and founders to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to engage confidently with clients and internal teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Data Analysis and Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset, comfortable with both qualitative and quantitative problem-solving, and able to work effectively with datasets in Excel.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adapt quickly, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Education and Background: Bachelor's degree in any discipline; background in sustainability, environment, economics, engineering, or business a plus but not required.
