About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our One Medical Finance Operations team under Amazon Healthcare vertical.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work on some of the largest data sets and help build data-driven operational strategies to adapt and be successful in ever-changing business environments. As an analytics expert at Amazon FinOps, you will have the opportunity to lead and mentor projects to address key cross-functional issues ranging from financial operations and vendor management.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop new strategies to improve accuracy and timeliness of reporting
  • Develop internal finance controls based on industry best practices
  • Leading and mentoring projects to address key cross-functional issues ranging from financial operations and vendor management
  • Deliver Financial Savings through projects
  • Design and implement mechanisms to improve Operational Excellence Culture
  • Provide periodic project updates, including major successes/challenges, to senior management
  • Conduct brainstorming among teams to identify improvement opportunities as and when needed
  • Support in terms of executing UAT and PVT for new business launches, expansions
  • Support in terms of meeting process goals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • At least 4+ years of experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
  • At least 4+ years of Accounts Payable (AP) experience
  • At least 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions
  • Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting
  • Master's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent
  • Proficient with Advanced Excel · Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau/QuickSight
  • Overall 6+ years' experience with 4+ years of relevant experience in data analyst/statistical analysis role
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results would be advantageous. Proficiency in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL is also preferred. Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail are required, along with great flexibility in identifying, analyzing and solving problems systematically in a fast-paced organization.
