Enterprise Java Application Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Java Application Support Specialist to join our team. This role is focused on providing high-level support for enterprise Java applications, resolving complex production issues, and ensuring system stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide level 3 production support for enterprise Java applications.
  • Troubleshoot application and middleware issues, including thread dumps, heap dumps, and GC logs.
  • Collaborate with developers on code-level debugging and hotfixes.
  • Support release management, patching, and middleware upgrades.
  • Manage and tune JBoss and JVM performance, clustering, and configurations.
  • Document resolutions and contribute to knowledge management.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years in Java/J2EE application support and development.
  • Solid expertise in JMS (Java Messaging Service).
  • Message Queues and Topics.
  • Durable and non-durable subscriptions.
  • Message selectors.
  • Asynchronous messaging patterns.
  • Strong in JBoss EAP installation, configuration, tuning, deployment, and administration.
  • Strong in Shell scripting for automation, log parsing, and alerting.
  • Strong in Java/J2EE, REST/SOAP, JDBC, SQL.
  • Familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system.
  • Solid experience in troubleshooting memory leaks, CPU spikes, connection issues.
  • Familiar with monitoring tools: Splunk, AppDynamics, ELK, Dynatrace.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines: Git, Jenkins, Nexus.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes.
