Java Technical Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Java/J2EE technical specialist to join our Production Support team.

About the Role
  • Provide Level 3 production support for enterprise Java applications on JBoss EAP.
  • Troubleshoot application and middleware issues, including thread dumps, heap dumps, and GC logs.
  • Resolve issues related to JMS messaging systems, such as queue backlogs and message delivery failures.
  • Monitor and maintain JMS queues and topics in the environment.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and develop permanent solutions for recurring production issues.
  • Lead incident and problem management efforts, including major incident bridges.
  • Collaborate with developers on code-level debugging, hotfixes, and JMS consumer/producer logic.
  • Support release management, patching, and middleware upgrades.
  • Manage and tune JBoss and JVM performance, clustering, and configurations.
  • Create automation scripts using Shell (Bash/Korn) for monitoring and support tasks.
  • Maintain batch jobs, application logs, and system alerts.
  • Manage configurations across environments and support access/user management.
  • Document resolutions and contribute to knowledge management.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Java/J2EE technologies.
  • Familiarity with JBoss EAP and JMS messaging systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
