The Senior Lead Petrophysicist will lead petrophysical evaluations across exploration, appraisal, and development wells.

Job Summary:
  • This role leads the execution of petrophysical activities in various well types.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Petrophysical activity leadership in exploration, appraisal, and development wells
  • Design and implementation of logging programs including tool selection, vendor coordination, and real-time monitoring
  • Conduct formation evaluation—porosity, saturation, lithology, and hydrocarbon volumes—and integrate results into subsurface models and documentation
  • Participation in rig site operations while logging and coring activities to provide real-time decision support during drilling
  • Coordination of coring programme execution and associated laboratory studies for high-quality deliverables
  • Field quality control (QC) of logging operations and data integrity management
  • Cross-functional collaboration with teams such as drilling, geology, reservoir engineering, geophysics, and related groups for petrophysical insights and optimized data acquisition strategies
  • Petrophysical data integration with core study results, advanced logs, and provision of inputs for seismic interpretation, geological modeling, and resource estimation
  • Analysis of advanced logs (e.g., NMR, Formation Tester, Imaging, Sonic Scanner etc.) and development of workflows for evaluating conventional, unconventional, and tight reservoirs
  • Evaluation of petrophysical uncertainties and their impact on volumetric resource estimates and supporting high-grading prospects
  • Analysis and interpretation of cased-hole and production logs to evaluate reservoir behavior, diagnose well performance, and guide optimization strategies
  • Stakeholder engagement with partners, regulators, and third-party stakeholders to ensure alignment and compliance across all technical, operational, and strategic dimensions
  • Leverage of machine learning and AI techniques to enhance petrophysical interpretation, automate workflows, and improve reservoir characterization
  • Exploration of emerging technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs in data acquisition and interpretation
  • Petrophysical assessment delivery to support investment decisions in farm-in/farm-out opportunities
  • Management of well log data systems, QA/QC processes, and reporting standards
  • Mentorship and training of junior Petrophysicists and promotion of technical excellence and knowledge sharing
