Legal Advisor Position

The Legal Advisor plays a pivotal role in delivering authoritative legal counsel, guidance and support to ensure the company's operations remain compliant with laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide expert legal advice on various complex issues including contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, labor laws, consumer protection and more.
  2. Evaluate the legal implications of business strategies and decisions.
  3. Review, draft and negotiate contracts, agreements and legal documents ensuring alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
  4. Offer insightful advice on contract interpretation, rights and obligations.
  5. Remain up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations and industry standards affecting the FMCG sector to ensure seamless compliance.
  6. Develop and implement effective compliance programs to mitigate legal risks.
  7. Assist in managing legal disputes including potential litigation or alternative dispute resolution methods.
  8. Collaborate with external legal experts as necessary.
  9. Protect and manage the company's intellectual property including trademarks, patents, copyrights and trade secrets.
  10. Support trademark registration, enforcement and licensing matters.
  11. Offer guidance on employment law matters including employee contracts, terminations, workplace policies and labor disputes.
Requirements
  • LLB or LLM degree.
  • 1-3 years of experience in legal advisory roles.
  • Strong knowledge of laws and regulations particularly in the FMCG sector.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound recommendations.
