Job Title: Senior Risk Analyst

About the Role:

The RISQ/RMA/HPC team provides independent risk control services for clients who manage funds, proprietary trading groups and CCPs. This role will cover a portfolio of clients across multiple client types.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Conduct in-depth research and analysis of financial data on clients to prepare high-quality reports addressing credit risk and transaction risk.
  2. Perform thorough risk assessment, including conducting due diligence on clients when required.
  3. Effectively challenge credit ratings and credit limits proposed by internal teams.
  4. Monitor risk exposures and counterparty creditworthiness, raising alerts as necessary.
  5. Presentation of recommendations for risk limits, one-off transactions, and credit ratings to senior management.
  6. Coordinate credit requests, liaise with Business Lines, Legal staffs, Global advisory divisions, and other stakeholders.
  7. Contribute to transversal analysis and project review.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent quantitative skills.
  • Experience in reading and understanding legal documentation (ISDAs, GMRAs, term sheets, rule books, prospectuses).
  • Ability to independently form, defend, and enforce a risk judgement and take decision.
  • Strong analysis and synthesis abilities; relevancy and objectivity in the analysis.
  • Comfortable interacting with senior personnel, both internally and with clients.
  • Knowledge of capital markets/OTC traded products/ Securities lending business and committed financing facilities.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate counterparty risk and financial condition utilizing quantitative and qualitative data.

  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to work for a global team with intensive international exposure across multiple time-zones.
  • Self-starter able to meet deadlines and work independently as well as contribute to team goals.
Profile Required:
  • 5+ years of overall credit analysis experience preferably in Financial Institution space.
  • CA degree /MBA (in Finance) from a reputed institution.
  • Additional certification like Financial Risk Management (FRM) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) would be a plus.
