About the Role

We are seeking a skilled 2G Protocol Development Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, and enhancing 2G protocol features on Base Station Controller (BSC), ensuring seamless integration with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in C/C++ programming and solid understanding of 2G protocols or experience in RAN technologies. Hands-on experience in protocol development, debugging, and troubleshooting is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement 2G protocol features on BSC, resolving issues and ensuring smooth integration with cross-functional teams.
  • Debug, analyze, and resolve internal and external defects/bugs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Ensure compliance with 2G protocol standards and specifications.
  • Conduct unit testing, system validation, and troubleshooting during development and field deployment.
  • Provide support for live issue handling and customer escalations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.
  • Solid understanding of 2G protocols or experience in RAN technologies.
  • Hands-on experience in protocol development, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
