Job Title: Senior Process Officer

The role of a Senior Process Officer is to oversee the operation of process units, ensuring smooth production and quality output. Key responsibilities include receiving crude solvents, issuing recovered solvents, and performing column distillation as per Standard Detailed Records (SDRs).


Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Operation
  • Receives crude solvents from plants and issues recovered solvents to plants.
  • Checks labels of raw material, packing materials, and solvents before usage.
  • Performs column distillation as per SDRs.
  • Maintains process conditions for batch as per SDRs.
  • Maintains storage conditions of raw material/solvents in plant.
  • Takes instruction from superior for batch charging/monitoring & follows up.
  • Reports any deviation/discrepancy in plant/process to seniors.
  • Completes given task within stipulated time.
  • Maintains environment conditions in Plant as per SOP.
  • Performs safe operations of plant equipments and utilities.
  • Stores solvents in proper condition in drums and tanks whatever is applicable.

Documentation:
  • Completes online SDR, equipment usage record & cleaning records with respect to his shift.
  • Ensures that yield & quality of solvents is as per predefined norms.
  • Packs of solvents as per SOP.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the equipments and area under his charge.
  • Updates equipment status boards timely.
  • Ensures on line completion of equipment usage log.
  • Maintains proper labeling of HDPE/GI drums, hose pipes etc. used in respective batch processing.

cGMP:
  • Ensures that yield & quality of solvents is as per predefined norms.
  • Packs of solvents as per SOP.

Safety:
  • Keeps himself aware about MSDS of related materials.
  • Edifies and supervises plant operators in safe handling of chemicals and equipment so as to prevent accidents.
  • Coordinates with EHS for various safety permits.

Wastage Avoidance/Reduction:
  • Ensures no spillage of solvents & wastage of material.
  • Closes the valves of utilities supplies when not required.

Inter Departmental Co-ordination:
  • Coordinates with QC department for getting analysis report.
  • Coordinates with Engg Service for maintenance related work in his shift.
  • Supports in spent solvent & residues disposal.
