Senior Steel Operations Manager

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Steel Plant Director to lead our steelmaking operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing alloy steel grades through the electric arc furnace (EAF) route, with experience in setting up steelmaking facilities being advantageous.
- Overall responsibility for the performance of steelmaking and alloy steel plant production, including quality, volume, efficiency, productivity, cost control, and people management.
- Ensure efficient and effective operations to meet delivery commitments of finished goods based on market demands and forecasts.
- Coordinate closely with top management and other departments to identify improvement opportunities and maintain operating equipment and facilities.
- Analyze, diagnose, and correct process abnormalities.
- Initiate changes and innovations to improve work methods, job safety, and equipment utilization.
- Lead the SMS team to improve steel quality; develop processes for various forging quality alloy steels and stainless steels.
- Reduce tap-to-tap time in steelmaking cycles.
- Drastically reduce production costs by modifying the additions pattern.
- Knowledgeable in converter steelmaking, special steelmaking in VAD and ladle furnace as a shop in-charge.
- Extensive experience in commissioning steel melting shops.
- Project planning, monitoring, and control.
- Engineering and procurement coordination.
- Site and construction management, resource planning.
- Materials management and vendor development.
- Safety management and quality assurance.
- Experienced in ISO 9000 procedures, 5S, TQM.
- Strong background in metallurgy and quality assurance.
