Job Title: Process Development Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Process Development Engineer to join our global team supporting pharma innovation through process intensification, technology transfer, and sustainable manufacturing solutions.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a motivated engineer to grow within a globally distributed pharma project team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing flow chemistry and batch processes for scale-up and commercial manufacturing. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and optimizing flow chemistry and batch processes
  • Performing process design calculations (heat & mass balance, reaction kinetics, equipment sizing, pressure drop, mixing, and scale-up parameters)
  • Preparing and reviewing engineering deliverables such as block flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams
  • Supporting process safety assessments (HAZOP, risk analysis, safety studies)
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure robust process design
  • Evaluating new technologies and proposing innovative solutions for continuous manufacturing & flow chemistry applications

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5–7 years of proven experience in process design engineering within the pharmaceutical/chemical industry
  • Hands-on expertise in flow chemistry and batch process design
  • Strong knowledge of process design tools and calculations (heat/mass transfer, reaction engineering, hydraulics)
  • Experience in preparing and interpreting BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs
