Job Overview

Cvent seeks an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and scalability of our products.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement automation solutions to improve the efficiency of our development processes.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve observability gaps.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to design and implement scalable architectures.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of Cvent's technology landscape.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills and experience working in distributed environments.
  • A passion for improving processes and a track record of making meaningful contributions.
  • Experience managing AWS services or operational knowledge of managing applications in AWS – ideally via automation.
  • Fluency in at least one scripting language (Typescript, Javascript, Python, Ruby, Bash).
  • Experience with SDLC methodologies (preferably Agile) and Observability (Logging, Metrics, Tracing) and SLI/SLO.
  • Working experience with APM, monitoring, and logging tools (Datadog, New Relic, Splunk).
  • Good understanding of containerization concepts (docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
  • Self-motivation and ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Troubleshooting and responding to incidents, setting a standard for others to prevent issues in the future.
Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience contributing to Open-Source projects.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
