About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Technician to join our team at Siemens Limited. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective production of locomotives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily loading plans to achieve production targets
  • Participate in daily meetings to progress production and plan for weekly and monthly targets
  • Implement daily production activities, resolve challenges, and ensure quality control
  • Update production updates to the Production Manager with daily metrics
  • Confirm first-time right production and mitigate quality issues
  • Acquire hands-on skills in locomotive production and train Indian Railway staff
  • Upgrade production skills through job rotation and on-the-job training
  • Supervise Indian Railways staff to produce manufactured products and monitor workflow
  • Timely handover of assembled locomotives to the testing team
  • Achieve manufacturing results by communicating output targets, quality, productivity, and safety expectations
  • Create assembly flow processes and allocate job cards to Indian Railways staff
  • Ensure assembly quality and machinery health while maintaining best EHS practices
  • Maintain workflow by supervising and upgrading processes, setting processing variables, and observing control points
  • Complete production plans by scheduling personnel, accomplishing work results, and reporting progress
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and ensuring production standards and 5S in the shop floor
  • Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques
  • Provide manufacturing information and production performance records
  • Adhere to defined and revised systems and procedures for operating practices, record-keeping systems, and forms of control
  • Follow up with logistics teams for timely delivery of materials
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and collaborating with IR personnel
  • Maintain collaborative working relationships with IR staff and representatives
  • Resolve personnel problems and maintain data for investigating issues and identifying solutions
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending CFT workshops
  • Supply to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Requirements

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • 0-10 years' experience in rolling stock domain, with experience in Rolling Stock Production and Leading People
  • Proficiency in Gujarati and Hindi
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and problem-solving skills
