Senior Tax Advisor Job

About Our Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Advisor to lead our Indirect Tax practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end GST and indirect tax advisory assignments, including structuring, impact analysis, and compliance reviews.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Leading complex IDT issues, drafting client memos, and preparing regulatory submissions.
  • Driving litigation strategy, including preparing replies, appeals, and representing clients before tax authorities.
  • Supervising and mentoring teams on technical execution, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and escalation point.
  • Actively contributing to practice development through capability-building, thought leadership, and client engagement initiatives.
  • Staying updated on legal and regulatory changes, judicial trends, and sector-specific IDT developments.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant with 8–12 years of relevant experience in indirect taxation.
  • Strong command over GST laws, including place of supply, ITC rules, and procedural aspects. Exposure to Customs or Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) is a plus.
  • Ability to translate legal nuances into practical, business-friendly solutions.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple stakeholders across clients, teams, and regulators.
  • Experience in consulting firms, boutique tax practices, or in-house tax teams preferred.
