About Lady Andal House of Children is a special school in Chennai that offers pre-vocational and vocational training for children and adults with disabilities.

Our school provides a multidisciplinary team of professionals who work together to offer physiotherapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physiotherapy, coupled with proven experience in teaching or working with individuals with diverse learning needs.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physiotherapist to join our team. This role involves conducting comprehensive physiotherapy assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and delivering 1:1 and group physiotherapy sessions tailored to each child's developmental level and physical needs.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing support for physical access and mobility within the school environment, monitoring progress and outcomes using evidence-based tools, and maintaining accurate clinical records.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for children with various needs.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing individualized treatment plans (ITPs) and therapy goals in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other health professionals.
  • Delivering 1:1 and group physiotherapy sessions tailored to each child's developmental level and physical needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or MSc) and HCPC registration (Health and Care Professions Council).
  • 3 to 7 years working with children and adults with multiple disabilities.
  • Previous experience working with children and/or young people with special needs is highly desirable.
