Job Overview:

The Senior Cost Estimator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our project cost estimates. As a senior member of our quantity surveying team, you will be responsible for managing the cost estimation process, including assessing quantities, pricing materials, and overseeing the work of junior quantity surveyors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the cost estimation process for projects, ensuring that all quantities and material costs are accurately assessed and aligned with project specifications.
  • Review and validate cost estimates for materials, labor, and overheads, ensuring transparency and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and project management teams to gather necessary data for cost estimation and ensure seamless integration with project plans.
  • Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors, providing expert guidance and support to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of their work.
  • Prepare detailed cost reports and present estimates to senior management and clients, showcasing your expertise and professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, or related fields.
  • At least 7 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on large-scale projects and cost estimation.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying and estimation software, as well as excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
