Job Title: Desktop Support Specialist

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive desktop support specialist to fill a key role in our IT department. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of hands-on experience in managing and supporting IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and macOS operating systems ensuring seamless system performance.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals minimizing downtime.
  • Install, update, and patch software applications and security tools to ensure optimal system functionality.
  • Provide day-to-day support for Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint enhancing user productivity.
  • Support system provisioning via Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot streamlining deployment processes.
  • Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions using Active Directory ensuring secure access control.
  • Assist with system upgrades, data migrations, and routine backups maintaining system integrity.
  • Troubleshoot basic network issues (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi) and VPN connectivity problems resolving technical difficulties efficiently.
  • Perform basic configuration and support of network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls optimizing network performance.
  • Monitor and maintain network performance ensuring maximum uptime.
  • Respond to IT support tickets, ensuring timely and effective resolution delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Document technical issues, solutions, and IT processes accurately facilitating knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of Firewalls and Layer 2 Switches with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools for ticket management enhancing efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
