Job Overview

The Technical Services Manager plays a pivotal role in bridging market needs with internal functions, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving business growth across various segments within the polymer industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical services and formulation support for targeted segments, fostering innovation and adaptability to meet local market requirements.
  • Develop and adapt formulations, leveraging sound understanding of polymer science and standard test methods.
  • Conduct technical training for customers, distributors, and internal teams, enhancing their expertise and product knowledge.
  • Perform competitive analysis and recommend strategies to maintain market leadership and competitiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and internal standards, prioritizing safety and quality assurance.
  • Manage lab operations efficiently, upholding EHS and ISO requirements, and maintaining lab equipment, calibrating instruments, and documenting results.
  • Support customer complaint resolution and application troubleshooting, providing prompt, practical solutions.
  • Participate in field trials and on-site customer visits as needed, building strong relationships and trust.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Master's degree or Bachelor of Engineering in Chemistry, with a sound understanding of polymer science and standard test methods.
  • At least 8 years of experience in formulation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or people leadership role.
  • Strong customer focus, with the ability to provide prompt, practical solutions, and deep knowledge of core markets, competitors, and emulsion polymer technology.
