Senior Data Engineer

Data Engineering is a key component of an Enterprise Data Governance program. As a Senior Data Engineer at Tredence Inc., you will lead the implementation of data governance programs, utilizing expertise in data governance practices and tools.

  • Develop solutions for data governance in popular tools, enabling data cataloging, meta data management, and data lineage of enterprise applications and data sources.
  • Contribute to the development of standard business glossaries and data dictionaries to enable business users to search and understand information.
  • Implement data cataloging with a data governance tool, establishing clear data ownership and access control management.
  • Build custom integrations between the data governance tool and various data stores, mapping and viewing data lineage.
  • Support the migration of existing data sources to a data governance tool.
  • Implement workflow management systems to optimize, improve, and automate data governance workflows for data stewards.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with data governance tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management space, preferably in data governance.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders and leaders to identify and align on workable business solutions to data privacy requirements and challenges.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets.
