Mission of the Role

  • Lead all aspects of program delivery execution for a specific customer aligned with quality and commitment standards, from pursuit to launch and up to service of parts.
  • Create long-term customer intimacy at several management levels through achieving customer satisfaction and establishing strong relationships.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversight and responsibility for all program deliverables with specific customers.
  • Program budget management with specific customers.
  • Resource management within customer product development teams.
  • Strategic customer engagement.

  • Flawless launch of new programs and engineering changes on specific customers.
  • On-time delivery.
  • First-time quality.
  • Program profitability.
  • Operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Customer satisfaction.
  • Meet annual value-added engineering targets on specific customers.
  • Programs budget adherence.
  • Visteon development process adherence.
  • Risk and issue mitigation.

Technical Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Automotive experience > 10+ years, with Tier 1 experience > 5 years in the last 10 years.
  • Engineering/program launch execution experience > 10+ years.
  • Customer-facing experience > 5 years.
  • Japanese language required.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Launch of new products consistent with customer requirements.
  • Single point of contact for programs and cascading customer requirements to project teams.
  • Accountable for program profit and loss.
  • Negotiating scope of new business with customers.
  • Leading delivery, resource planning, launch coordination, change control, project part tracking, and single point of contact for customers.
  • Identifying potential issues in advance and coordinating mitigation actions.
  • Accountable for profitability improvement through design change control.
  • Leading communication with customers during program launches.
  • Leading gateway reviews as part of program management.
  • Experience in automotive product life cycles.
  • Experience in SW project deliveries, product launches, design, purchasing, supplier quality, and program management skills.
  • Experience with different customers (OEMs).
  • Managing cross-functional teams.
  • Creating customer-focused strategies and value propositions.
  • Possessing fundamental product knowledge.
  • Internal communication of program/business risk and status.
  • Good knowledge about clusters, infotainment, and cockpit domain controllers.
