Backend Development Lead

We are seeking an experienced Backend Development Lead to spearhead the design, development, and deployment of scalable Python-based applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advanced Python development, with expertise in MongoDB, Redis, FAST API, and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

This is a leadership role that requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate React-based frontends and backend services.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring code quality, performance, and security standards across all development efforts.

In addition, they will mentor and manage a team of 10–15 developers, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

The role involves driving agile development practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) while liaising with stakeholders from banking operations, risk, and compliance to align technical solutions with business needs.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have at least 15 years of total experience, with 10+ years of hands-on experience and last 5-6yrs into advanced Python development and design patterns.

Required skills include strong experience in MongoDB, Redis, FAST API, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

A solid understanding of React Framework and frontend-backend integration is also necessary.

Familiarity with Impala, Autosys, and distributed systems is a plus.

Prior experience in the banking or financial services domain is mandatory.
