Job Description:

We are seeking a Backend Lead Developer with 4+ years of experience to lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Django (mandatory) and FastAPI, strong database skills with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, and hands-on experience with Redis for caching and performance optimization. As a technical lead, you will play a key role in shaping system architecture, mentoring the backend team, and ensuring code quality and delivery timelines. Experience with cloud infrastructure is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the backend development team by setting technical direction, reviewing code, and mentoring junior developers.
  • Architect and design scalable, reliable, and secure backend systems using Django and FastAPI.
  • Oversee the development and integration of RESTful APIs to support frontend and third-party applications.
  • Manage and optimize data models in PostgreSQL and MongoDB .
  • Implement Redis for advanced caching, pub/sub, and session handling.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in API design , security, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to align backend architecture with business goals.
  • Take ownership of system performance monitoring , debugging, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in technical hiring , architecture reviews , and code standardization efforts.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in backend development.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Django (mandatory) and FastAPI.
  • Proficient in designing and optimizing relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with Redis .
  • Deep knowledge of RESTful API design principles and backend architecture patterns.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines , Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Strong understanding of security, scalability, and performance optimization .
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
