Backend Software Engineer - Financial Systems

We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our team in developing and maintaining the backend of a live, regulated financial platform. The successful candidate will have strong experience in designing and building secure APIs, database systems, and scalable microservices using TypeScript/AWS environment.

Job Description:

The role involves building, extending, and maintaining existing backend services using TypeScript/Node.js. This includes writing transactional business logic for financial flows (e.g., onboarding, withdrawals), designing and maintaining PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, and queries, integrating with third-party APIs securely (OAuth2, JWT), and improving existing systems for performance, reliability, and audit requirements.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience, ideally in financial services.
  • Strong TypeScript/Node.js skills, productive from day one.
  • Hands-on with AWS Lambda and serverless patterns.
  • PostgreSQL experience, schema design, performance tuning, real-world queries.
  • Solid understanding of building secure, documented REST APIs.
  • Able to work independently and communicate clearly.
