Quality Assurance Manager Role

This position is responsible for leading and overseeing the quality assurance and control functions across all manufacturing stages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage the Quality Assurance and Control (QA/QC) functions across all manufacturing stages – raw material inspection, in-process quality, and final product inspection.
  • Ensure consistent quality in machined components derived from castings and forgings through process monitoring and control.
  • Develop and maintain ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / ISO 14001 quality management systems and ensure compliance.
  • Manage and improve incoming, in-process, and final inspection processes for machined, cast, and forged components.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and customer quality issues (8D, 5Why, Fishbone).
  • Drive supplier quality assurance for casting and forging vendors – including audits, qualification, and performance monitoring.
  • Plan, manage, and execute internal audits, customer audits, and third-party certification audits.
  • Own and lead the APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC processes for new and existing products.
  • Hands-on experience with quality tools like 5S, Lean, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred).
  • Implement quality KPIs (First Pass Yield, Rejection PPM, Customer Complaints) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to enhance product and process quality.
  • Manage internal audits and support external audits by customers and certification bodies.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a team of quality engineers and inspectors.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality products.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Science, or Quality Management).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance or a related field.
  • Proven track record of improving quality metrics and driving process improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
