Mechanical Design Engineer Job

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to design, develop and test complex mechanical systems and equipment. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with customers and marketing teams to determine design requirements and plan and execute precision mechanical equipment designs.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with vendors and design teams to determine mechanical applications and requirements.
  • Work with Project Managers to determine project requirements.
  • Conduct research to inform design and engineering methods required for mechanical systems.
  • Plan and execute mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs.
  • Perform computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine designs.
  • Oversee the development and manufacturing of physical prototypes for testing.
  • Document the design process, iterations, and test analytics.
  • Liaise with designers, engineers, and manufacturers to ensure coherence.
  • Prepare technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manuals.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices.

About the Role:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
  • Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Rhino etc.
  • Solid knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Able to stay current with advancements in technology and engineering design trends.

Prior Experience:

Prior experience in design engineering of meter mix machines, dispensing equipment, pumps and hand tools is preferred.
