Civil Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Manager to lead our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil engineering, project planning, and team management.

Job Summary:

The Civil Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of civil construction projects, including project planning, site supervision, quality control, safety management, budget and cost control, contract management, and documentation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Management:
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for all civil works.
  • Resource allocation, including manpower, materials, and equipment.
  • Coordinating with various departments, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Site Supervision:
  • Direct and supervise all on-site civil construction activities.
  • Monitor the progress of work, ensure adherence to quality standards and safety protocols, and resolve any technical issues that arise during construction.
  • Quality Control:
  • Implement and maintain a rigorous quality control system to ensure all civil works meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Perform regular inspections and audits to verify the quality of materials and workmanship.
  • Safety Management:
  • Enforce strict safety regulations on the construction site.
  • Conduct safety briefings, identify potential hazards, and ensure that all workers comply with safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Budget and Cost Control:
  • Manage the project budget for all civil works.
  • Track expenses, prepare cost reports, and identify potential cost-saving measures without compromising on quality or safety.
  • Review and approve invoices from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Contract Management:
  • Administer and manage contracts with various subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Negotiate terms, monitor performance, and ensure that all contractual obligations are met.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all project activities.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting project status, challenges, and solutions.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Coordinate with other project managers and departments to ensure seamless integration and smooth handover of front-end systems.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies regarding all civil matters.

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Civil Manager who has a strong background in civil engineering and project management. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 8-16 years of experience in civil construction projects.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
