Job Description

The Public Affairs Specialist role is a critical component of our organization's communication strategy. This full-time, on-site position in Delhi plays a pivotal part in advancing agency goals and public understanding through effective communication programs and public information campaigns.

The specialist will be responsible for designing, executing, and evaluating communication programs that align with the organization's objectives. They will serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, prepare press releases, respond to public and press questions, and monitor media coverage of agency activities.

Additionally, the Public Affairs Specialist will represent the organization at institutions, policy makers' meetings, civic gatherings, and community events. They will advise management on policy formulation, assess potential public reactions to proposed actions, and assist in articulating policy statements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing communication strategies that promote public understanding and engagement.
  • Managing media relations, including preparing press releases and responding to media inquiries.
  • Representing the organization at various events and meetings.
  • Providing strategic advice on policy formulation and implementation.
  • Preparing reports, newsletters, brochures, presentations, and social media materials for internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, strategic thinking, and advocacy abilities. You should also be able to analyze and present information effectively, manage projects, and coordinate events.

Required qualifications include an MBA or a related degree in Management or Public Affairs, along with relevant certifications or experience.
