Job Description

Our organization seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented pharmacist to manage pharmacy operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing expert advice to customers.

The role requires strong knowledge of prescription decoding, medical abbreviations, and handwriting recognition. Additionally, the ability to provide clear explanations regarding medications and their usage is essential.

  • Attend prescriptions at the sales counter, ensure accurate dispensing, and provide advice on correct dosage and medication use.
  • Source prescribed medications from in-house pharmacies if they are unavailable.
  • Provide patients/customers with detailed information on medication usage, potential side effects, and health advice.
  • Maintain a register for delivery requests and follow up to ensure timely and accurate delivery of medicines to customers.
  • Manage inbound calls with a focus on providing drug information, patient education, and responding to queries related to drug therapy, home delivery orders, and medication concerns.
  • Assist with cash transactions and billing at the counter when needed.
  • Ensure that all medications are stored correctly, including temperature-sensitive drugs that require refrigeration.
  • Conduct thorough checks of received stock, including quantity, MRP, batch number, and expiry date, before entering the data into the system.
  • Accurately input stock data into the system and cross-check received items against the store's inventory records to maintain accuracy.
  • Perform regular physical stock counts, categorizing by type (e.g., Tablets, Syrups, Injections, etc.) twice a week, and verify fast-moving items on a daily basis.
