Job Role

We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of multiple database disciplines and technologies, with experience in installation, customization, testing, and maintenance of database systems.

About This Position

This role is responsible for planning computerized databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data, establishing security controls, and formulating policies for database management.

You will assist more experienced database administrators with testing database software, migration, and backup tasks, while developing your knowledge of Oracle Recovery Manager, Data Guard, and Golden Gate.

Main Responsibilities
  • Test database software, utilities, and patches within a test environment.
  • Migrate tested and approved database software to production environments.
  • Create, purge, or maintain user accounts, add or delete table and data permissions.
  • Schedule database backup tasks and participate in disaster recovery exercises.
  • Contribute to storage and capacity planning by executing established reports and gathering additional data.
  • Participate in database tuning, optimizing, and monitoring tasks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT-related field or relevant experience.
  • Typically Minimum 2 Years Relevant Experience.
  • Extensive Knowledge of multiple database disciplines and technologies.
  • Experience with Installation, Customization, Testing, and Maintenance of database systems.
