Job Description

As a Compliance Specialist, you will play a key role in guiding clients through the certification process under the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Your expertise will be invaluable in helping manufacturers and importers of products ensure compliance with BIS standards. You will work closely with clients to identify the applicable BIS standards and categories for their products, facilitate the preparation and submission of the BIS application, and coordinate with BIS-recognized laboratories for product testing.

The successful candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of BIS standards, specifically the ISI Mark Scheme-1, and be proficient in using the BIS portal. A strong ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment is essential. Proficiency in MS Office Suite is also required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance on BIS Certification requirements.
  • Assist clients in identifying applicable BIS standards and categories for their products.
  • Facilitate the preparation and submission of the BIS application and required documentation.
  • Coordinate with BIS-recognized laboratories for product testing and obtain test reports.
  • Ensure products meet technical standards for performance and safety as required by BIS regulations.
  • Act as primary point of contact between clients and BIS officials to expedite certification.
  • Track and monitor application status, ensuring timely follow-up and approval.
  • Advise clients on testing and post-certification compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • 0-2 years of working experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of BIS standards under ISI Mark Scheme-1.
  • Knowledge of BIS portal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
