Enterprise Data Architect Lead

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our efforts in designing and implementing enterprise data architectures.

This role will involve collaborating with customers to understand their data strategy and use case requirements, and then providing technical guidance and support to ensure successful implementations.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development of reference enterprise data architectures for customers
  • Identifying and driving development of use cases to address distributed computing challenges
  • Analyzing and recommending solutions to complex data management problems
  • Collaborating with customers to define their data strategy and use case success criteria
  • Designing and implementing Enterprise Data Cloud architectures and configurations
  • Planning and delivering presentations and workshops to customer/internal stakeholders
  • Mentoring junior consultants and architects

We're looking for someone who has:

  • A deep understanding of big data/analytical use cases and best practice approaches to implement solutions
  • Strong experience designing, architecting and implementing software solutions in an enterprise Linux environment
  • Excellent communication skills, experience with public speaking and ability to present to a wide range of audiences
  • Familiarity with BI tools and Data Science notebooks such as Cloudera Data Science Workbench, Apache Zeppelin, Jupyter, IBM Watson Studio etc.
  • Knowledge of scripting tools such as bash shell scripts, Python or Perl
  • Familiarity of DevOps methodology & toolsets and automation experience with Chef, Puppet, Ansible or Jenkins

In addition to the above requirements, you may also have:

  • Related industry experience & relevant architecture certifications
  • Experience implementing machine learning algorithms using R or Tensorflow and deep understanding of statistical methods
  • External publications in a relevant technology

This role involves travel approximately 70% of the time.
