Job Title: Senior Financial Leadership Position

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant to lead our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and transparency of our company's finances.

This senior leadership position will oversee accounting, compliance, and financial control across the entire organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for full-spectrum bookkeeping, statutory compliance, inventory accounting, audit, and regulatory filings, while partnering with business teams to drive efficiency and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements on a monthly basis for group entities.
  • Supervise books of accounts for global entities based out of USA, Hong Kong & China.
  • Evaluate reconciliations between consolidated accounts and management information systems (MIS), ensuring variances are explained.
  • Manage the monthly financial close process, including journal entries, account balance reconciliations, and report preparation.
  • Oversee reconciliations, accounting, and reporting for third-party marketplaces.
  • Lead statutory audits for India and US entities.
  • Ensure tax compliance, including GST, income tax, TDS in India; US federal and state tax filings.
  • Manage regulatory filings, including MCA, RBI/FEMA, GST, PF, ESIC, TDS, transfer pricing, tax returns, and labor law compliances.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to review legal contracts and address any related issues.
  • Participate in investor financial, legal, and tax due diligence reviews.
  • Develop and evaluate standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to financial reporting and compliance.
  • Work with the technology team to streamline financial reporting between accounting software and internal reporting platforms.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Chartered Accountant with 8-10 years of work experience.
  • Retail industry experience is highly valued.
