Job Summary:

Project Cost Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Cost Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely management of project costs, providing insightful financial analysis, and collaborating with project teams to achieve budgetary objectives.

About the Role:

  • Ensure project costs are accurately managed, monitored, and reported in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform thorough cost analyses, identifying areas of inefficiency and recommending strategies for cost reduction.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, forecasts, and variance reports, analyzing deviations between actual and planned costs.
  • Collaborate with project teams to track progress, update percentage-of-completion calculations, and provide regular financial insights to stakeholders.
  • Validate costs against contractual agreements, identifying potential risks and opportunities for cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Cost Analysis and Control: Ensure accurate and timely management of project costs, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance reporting.
  • Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Collaborate with project teams to track progress, update percentage-of-completion calculations, and provide regular financial insights to stakeholders.
  • Contract and Cost Compliance: Validate costs against contractual agreements, identifying potential risks and opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Inventory and Procurement Cost Management: Work with procurement to control and analyze material and service costs, ensuring proper valuation of inventory used for EPC projects.
  • Risk Management and Cost Optimization: Identify potential risks related to project costs, recommending strategies for cost reduction and process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Masters or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in project cost management, preferably in an EPC environment.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
  • Strong knowledge of financial software tools, including MS Excel and Project.
