Job Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical professional to manage procurement accounting, perform reconciliation checks, support audit readiness, and handle cost center allocations.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial regulations, procurement processes, and reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and cost optimization.

  • Procurement Accounting & Reconciliation
    • Verify and process purchase transactions and vendor invoices.
    • Ensure compliance with purchase order terms, tax provisions, and payment schedules.
    • Coordinate with the procurement team to reconcile delivery notes, purchase orders, and invoices.
    • Validate purchase orders, receipts, and vendor invoices for raw materials, consumables, and capital assets.
    • Monitor vendor balances, advances, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Vouching and Internal Checks
    • Perform detailed vouching of accounting entries, including purchases, expenses, and fixed assets.
    • Ensure relevant supporting documents (invoices, approvals, contracts) are in place.
    • Identify anomalies, errors, or irregularities and flag them for corrective action.
  • Audit Support (Internal & Statutory)
    • Prepare and maintain audit schedules and reconciliations related to procurement and cost accounts.
    • Support internal and external auditors with required documentation and clarifications.
    • Implement audit recommendations and enhance internal controls accordingly.
  • Cost Center Management
    • Allocate expenses to correct cost centers in accordance with company policies.
    • Monitor cost center budgets vs actuals and report variances.
    • Assist in financial reporting by preparing cost center-wise income statements.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and standards.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills across departments.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
