Hardware Architect for Energy Storage Systems

As a seasoned Hardware Architect, you will be responsible for designing and architecting Building Management System (BMS) hardware systems for energy storage domains. You will utilize state-of-the-art techniques and best practices to deliver high-quality modules and systems on time while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and electromagnetic interference/emc aspects.

This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to provide innovative solutions to complex use cases on a day-to-day basis. You will also interact with customers in a professional manner, providing expertise and guidance where needed.

Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Electronics (EEE)
  • 12-14 years of experience in developing BMS for energy storage/ESS
Essential Skills:
  • Experience in developing BMS for energy storage/ESS
  • Hands-on experience in architecting Power Electronics concepts for BMS
  • Design knowledge of Digital circuit design, Analog circuit design, ADC, DACs, OP Amps, Micro-processors, Micro-controllers & DSPs
  • Knowledge of Regulatory requirements for Li-ion batteries for Energy storage application
  • PCB layout constraints
  • Analog Front End circuit design for Li-ion batteries
  • Simulation tools (e.g., P-Spice, Matlab, Mathcad)
  • FMEA and Root Cause Analysis
  • Sensing Technologies (Temperature Sensor, Voltage sensor, etc.)
  • Hardware peripherals and communication circuit design
  • Power Supply Design
  • MOSFET driving
Desirable Skills:
  • Safety Regulatory standards like IEC61508, ISO26262 when building HW designs
  • Contactors and Relays
  • Safety-critical features like charge control, thermal control, fault detection, and diagnostics for battery and energy products
