Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Buying Manager - Kidswear Girls to join our team.

  • This role is responsible for managing all aspects of buying merchandise and coordinating with vendors for the designated departments.
  • The key deliverables for the position include:
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the divisional Buying and Merchandising strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives at all times.
  • Collaborate with the merchandising team to ensure timely delivery of merchandise and efficient management of inventory levels.
  • IDentify emerging trends and opportunities through market research, staying ahead of competitors in terms of color, fabric, and product offerings.
  • Work closely with designers on developing styles, design research trips, fabric & print advice, and informing best sellers for move-on styles.
  • Manage stock, style options, quantities, promotions, and markdowns in line with seasonal plans and weekly goals.
  • Review and adjust season plans and weekly plans accordingly.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in buying and merchandising, preferably in the kidswear industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth and margin improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
