Credit Variations Calculator (CVC) Process Overview

The Credit Variations Calculator (CVC) process is a critical function that requires users to accurately update the CVC spreadsheet with loan information. This includes customer and mortgage details, outstanding balances, loan-to-value ratio, security address, security value, title information, and other essential loan data.

Our team aims to ensure that all fields in the CVC are complete, current, and reflective of the loan's status to support accurate calculations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Review the CHLM application and Discharge Authority to assess and determine the applicability of CVC.
  2. Update all relevant existing loan information, including customer and mortgagor information, guarantor information (if any), loan account numbers, outstanding balances, and security details, into the CVC spreadsheet using data from CommSee, HLS, Genworth, D&D or other acceptable source documents.
  3. Ensure a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when updating each field in the CVC spreadsheet.
  4. Ensure all cases are completed within the agreed turnaround time, maintaining efficiency and adherence to deadlines while upholding data accuracy and quality standards in the CVC update.
  5. Ensure that all the cases are handled in accordance with the regulatory requirement.
  6. Verify and correctly reflect the bank's security position based on customers' requested variation requests in the CVC.
  7. Ensure credit variation (CHLM) applications are ready for assessment by the credit decisioning team.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2-6 years of experience in mortgage/home buying processes.
  • Proven ability to effectively plan and coordinate incoming work and enquiries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, supported by a collaboration mindset and a service-based mindset with strong customer focus.
  • Highly motivated, result-driven, team-oriented, and customer-focused.
  • Detail-oriented, exercising extreme attention to details, thorough, accurate, organized, and productive, and seeking to understand both cause and effect of a situation.
  • Good judgement, exercised through critical thinking, analysing, and assessing, and taking ownership of outcomes.
