Network and Security Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Network and Security Specialist to manage, monitor, and troubleshoot complex network and security environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot complex network and security environments.
  • Install and configure network devices from major OEMs like Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, and Check Point.
  • Perform routine maintenance, firmware upgrades, and provide L2/L3 support for network and security issues.
  • Utilize and manage various Network Management Systems (NMS) and Element Management Systems (EMS) for effective network monitoring and management.
  • Implement and manage security policies, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security solutions.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and secure network infrastructure.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with L2 and L3 networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, etc.).
  • Extensive experience with major networking and security OEMs (e.g. HPE Aruba, Juniper, Fortinet etc).
  • Hands on knowledge on Grafana and Prometheus would be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in installing and configuring routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Proficiency in using and managing NMS/EMS solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of network security principles, including all types of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access control.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIP, PCNSE, CISSP) are highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
About the Role:

This is a dynamic role that requires a skilled and experienced Network and Security Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in network and network security, with a proven track record of working with major OEMs.

This role requires a strong understanding of not just maintenance and troubleshooting but also the installation and configuration of network and security devices.
