Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to lead the planning, implementation, and management of enterprise-grade network security infrastructure. This role demands deep expertise in firewall technologies, VPNs, IDS/IPS, network segmentation, and threat prevention, with a focus on proactive defense, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network security architecture that aligns with business goals and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
  • Manage and optimize next-generation firewalls (NGFWs) – such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco Firepower, or Check Point.
  • Configure and maintain VPN solutions (site-to-site, remote access, SSL/IPSec), NAC (Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass), and AAA services.
  • Deploy and monitor IDS/IPS, DDoS protection, web filtering, and threat intelligence platforms.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and collaborate with SOC/IR teams for incident response.
  • Create and enforce security policies, network segmentation, and Zero Trust architectures.
  • Automate security tasks using tools such as Ansible, Python, or scripting for managing firewall rules and auditing.
  • Work closely with IT, Cloud, DevOps, and OT teams to ensure secure end-to-end communication and integration.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of security infrastructure, incident handling procedures, and audit trails.
  • Participate in security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in network and security engineering, with a focus on enterprise-grade deployments.
  • CISSP Certified
  • Strong hands-on experience with firewall technologies (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower).
  • Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF) and secure network design.
  • Proven experience with IDS/IPS, SSL decryption, SIEM integration, and log analysis.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, CIS Benchmarks.
  • Proficient in handling VPNs, remote access, multi-factor authentication, and SSL/TLS configurations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE 4/5/7, CEH, or GCIA.
  • Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including cloud firewall, security groups, WAF, and cloud VPNs.
  • Exposure to OT/ICS/SCADA network security and industrial firewall deployments.
  • Working knowledge of Zero Trust, micro-segmentation, and ZTNA technologies.
  • Familiarity with SIEM/SOAR tools like Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel, or Cortex XSOAR.
