Senior Network Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Network Infrastructure Specialist to oversee our network systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in network infrastructure, security, and troubleshooting, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
This role involves monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network systems to ensure optimal performance and high availability. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring and managing network devices including routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls.
The chosen professional will implement and maintain network security policies to safeguard against unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and threats. Additionally, they will maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, processes, and procedures.
This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing complex network issues. The successful candidate will also be able to work closely with cross-functional IT teams to support overall infrastructure and ensure seamless operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent field of study.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong communication and collaboration abilities, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Cloud Networking: Experience with cloud networking solutions and SDN technologies such as Cisco ACI.
- Firewall Management: Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and implementing security policies.
- Load Balancing: Proficiency in managing F5 Load Balancers for high availability and traffic distribution.
- Network Automation: Knowledge of network automation tools and scripting using Python.
- Routing & Switching: Strong understanding of Cisco routing and switching technologies.
- Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or Wireshark for network monitoring and diagnostics.
- Protocols & Standards: Solid grasp of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, etc.).
- Security Best Practices: Understanding of network security principles, threat mitigation, and compliance standards.
- Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing complex network issues.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Cisco ACI DCACI or equivalent are preferred.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to resolve complex network issues efficiently.
- Teamwork: Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in managing configurations, documentation, and security protocols.
