Job Title: Director of Technology Services

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of technology infrastructures, applications portfolios, and network management. This role is pivotal in driving the strategic direction of our technology services to support our academic and administrative functions.

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to lead the technology department for one of our Group Company. The job involves developing and implementing technology strategies aligned with the institution's goals and objectives.

  • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the institution's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of educational applications and systems.
  • Manage and optimize the institution's network infrastructure to ensure high performance and availability.
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to understand and address their technology needs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage technology budgets, resources, and vendor relationships.
  • Drive innovation in the use of technology to enhance the educational experience.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the technology team.
  • Develop and enforce technology policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  • Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies to determine their potential impact on the institution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (BE/BSc), or a related field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in technology, with at least 8 years in a senior technology leadership role, preferably in an educational institution.
  • Proven experience as a CIO, Head IT, or similar senior technology leadership role in an educational institution.
  • Strong understanding of university and education infrastructures, applications portfolios, and network management.
  • Excellent strategic planning and project management skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging technologies relevant to the education sector.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with ERP systems, learning management systems (LMS), and other educational technologies.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Certification in IT management or related areas.
  • Experience in managing large-scale network infrastructures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead digital transformation initiatives within an educational setting.
  • Experience in managing cloud services and virtualization technologies.
