Senior Data Migration Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the execution of comprehensive end-to-end testing for data migration, ETL, and transformation processes during System Integration Testing.
  • Provide proactive support for User Acceptance Testing, Parallel Runs, and Production deployments.
  • Validate data accuracy, schema mapping, and consistency across source and target systems.
  • Develop and execute performance and regression testing to ensure platform scalability and migration stability.
  • Build and maintain automation test scripts where applicable.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, and cloud architects, to resolve issues and optimize system performance.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Maintain alignment between testing goals and business objectives.
  • Deliver timely updates on testing progress, defect reports, and risk assessments.
  • Promote continuous improvements in testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in software testing, including 3+ years in data migration projects.
  • Proven expertise in cloud data platforms such as Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake, Synapse, or Redshift.
  • Familiarity with legacy platforms like Hadoop, Teradata, and SAP BW.
  • Strong hands-on experience with ETL validation, data reconciliation, and performance benchmarking.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other scripting languages for test automation and data validation.
  • Experience with tools like Selenium, PyTest, JMeter, and data quality tools.
  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) or testing standards (e.g., ISTQB).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, JIRA, Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of DataOps practices and modern testing workflows.
