Infrastructure Delivery Director Job Description

This role is pivotal to our global transformation journey — shifting from traditional infrastructure management toward a modern, DevOps-centric, cloud-native delivery model.

  • Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure leads, engineers and service owners across global teams.
  • Drive alignment with global IT strategy focused on automation, scalability, and cloud native architecture.
Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure availability, reliability, and performance of on-premises and cloud-hosted infrastructure platforms.
  2. Own and improve SLAs and KPIs regarding design, deployment, transition to manage, decommission, incident response, problem management, and change control processes.
  3. Champion operational (SRE) enablement, compliance (including SOX/PCI), and security best practices.
  4. Lead the transformation from legacy systems (e.g., traditional VMs, storage, monitoring) to modern infrastructure (e.g., serverless, container platforms, SaaS/PaaS).
  5. Support DevOps toolchain integration and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption by developing and maintaining IaC templates and scripts using tools such as Terraform, Ansible AWX, AWS CloudFormation to automate provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources to ensure consistency and repeatability.
Qualifications:
  1. 15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure operations, with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing global or regional teams.
  2. 5+ year experience working within a public cloud environment. Must have a good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
