Job Summary:

Strategic Programme Leader

Reporting to the senior leadership team, this key role will oversee select programme areas ensuring timely and high-quality delivery in line with agreed goals. The successful candidate will provide guidance to project teams to strengthen operational efficiency and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Programme Planning & Strategy:
    • Support the development of long-term strategies and annual plans for programme themes.
    • Identify opportunities for collaboration and innovation to strengthen impact.
  • Programme Management:
    • Oversee assigned programme areas to ensure effective tracking of progress and adaptation of strategies.
    • Provide support to project teams in preparation of reports, presentations, and knowledge products.
  • Partnership Development:
    • Engage with implementing agencies and peer organisations to strengthen programme outcomes.
    • Represent the organisation in external forums as required.
  • Team Support & Development:
    • Provide mentoring support to mid-level team members to help them grow into leadership roles.
    • Encourage a collaborative culture that values learning and accountability.
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Contribute inputs to budget planning and monitoring utilisation in assigned programme areas.
    • Ensure adherence to internal processes and compliance frameworks.
