Job Title: Business Development Associate

The development of a thriving entrepreneurship ecosystem is crucial for creating widespread and decentralized job opportunities, leading to distributed livelihoods and prosperity.

A key component of this ecosystem is Mass Entrepreneurship, resulting in the creation of fresh insights, opportunity zones, new ideas, innovative technologies, and scalable actions.

Our organization operates through partner organizations across policy, civil society, academia, and the private sector to generate these outcomes.

We are seeking a Business Development Associate to support the implementation of green business and Decentralized Renewable Energy solutions under our Nagpur Entrepreneurship Mission (NEM).

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the day-to-day implementation of green entrepreneurship and DRE-linked livelihood interventions;
  • Collaborate with partners to identify use-cases (e.g., solar sewing machines, solar dryers, etc.), mobilize entrepreneurs, and monitor adoption;
  • Facilitate coordination with district authorities, Gram Panchayats, DISCOMs, and relevant line departments;
  • Maintain a district-level dashboard of entrepreneurs supported, DRE solutions deployed, and income outcomes;
  • Collect, verify, and analyze field data in a timely manner; feed into state and national reporting;
  • Represent our organization in district-level review meetings, working groups, and government forums;
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy, Environmental Sciences, Development Studies, or related fields;
  • Postgraduate qualification in Renewable Energy, Management, Public Policy, or related fields preferred;
  • Five to eight years of professional experience in business development, renewable energy access, livelihoods, or MSME promotion;
  • Experience of working on Decentralized Renewable Energy solutions, clean energy entrepreneurship, or sustainable livelihoods essential;
