Job Title:

Business Operations Manager

Description

The primary function of this role is to oversee the end-to-end business operations, focusing on issuance and fulfillment of new business. Key responsibilities include managing work-in-progress (WIP), coordinating with distribution teams, and ensuring compliance with AxisMaxlife and IRDAI norms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing relationships with distribution heads through regular engagement.
  • Monitoring performance and making recommendations for improvement.

New Business Management

  • Managing WIP to meet monthly targets.
  • Driving daily clearance of WIP through hub teams.
  • Maintaining regular governance calls with HUB teams.
  • End-to-end management of WIP.

Data and Reporting

  • Delivering reports and analysis on key business parameters.
  • Supporting distribution teams with data sets, reports, and dashboards.
  • Collaborating with internal departments on report automation initiatives.

Control and Compliance

  • Maintaining and updating SOPs and 4 sheeters.
  • Documenting changes in existing processes.
  • Ensuring adherence to defined SLAs.

Projects and Continuous Improvement

  • Benchmarking internally and externally to establish best practices.
  • Implementing new guidelines for distribution adherence.

Team Management

  • Developing team members to perform effectively.

Measures of Success

  • Monthly governance engagements with Distribution leaders.
  • Publishing Monthly Issuance Dashboards/Scorecards.
  • Driving Operational efficiencies with Distribution teams.
  • Achieving 92% M0 Issuance.
  • Achieving 94% M2 Issuance.
  • FTR of 85%.
  • Improving customer satisfaction through escalation resolution and request TAT.
  • Completing at least one Green/Black belt project annually.
  • Talent retention with an attrition rate below 10% for G2M2 employees.
  • Accurate reconciliation of business data/reports.
  • User-friendly customization of analytical reports.
  • Deploying process improvements initiatives.
  • Effective alignment across departments with minimal escalations.

Requirements

This position requires a graduate/postgraduate degree in management. A minimum of 10+ years of experience, including 5 years in relationship management and Bancassurance/Banking operations management, is necessary. The ideal candidate should possess sound knowledge of Bancassurance or Banking operations models and strong skills in data analysis, communication, and team management.
