Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to lead our Human Resources team. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all statutory provisions relating to industrial and labor laws, maintaining regular industrial relations activities, and providing professional advice on wage settlements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with all Statutory Provisions relating to Industrial & Labor Laws
  • Maintain regular Industrial Relations Activities like dealing with Contractors, Monitoring of Contractual Statutory Records, Workmen's Compensation Policies, Labor Licenses, etc.
  • Provide Professional Advice on Wage Settlements; Deal with Union Issues and Labor Contractors; Conduct Enquiries, Counsel Employees, and Initiate Disciplinary Actions where Necessary
  • Manage any Temporary Labor-Related Cases, etc. Follow up on Court Matters pending if any to resolve the same
  • Coordinate with the Corporate HR Team to Implement various HR Processes and Initiatives, and provide Support on various Welfare, Safety, Security, and General Administration-related Matters as and when needed
  • Formulate various Welfare Measures for Employees and Handle Grievances of Permanent and Contractual Employees
  • Consult with Government Authorities and ensure Documentation and Safekeeping of all Legal Documents
  • Stay up-to-date on Developments in Labor Laws and Practices; Suggest the Management all Legal Aspects of Industrial Relations
  • Ensure smooth Industrial Relations
  • Employee Relations:
  • Coordinate Recruiting, Selection, and Employment Process for Plant
  • Plan and Monitor all Administrative Operations
  • Assess Current Skill Capabilities of Plant Workforce, accordingly, Prepare Training Calendar for Up-skilling or Multiskilling, and Implement Training Programs
  • Manage Internal Facilities such as Canteen, Transport, Hospitalization, etc.
  • Drive Welfare Activities such as Celebrations, Safety, Annual Day, Facilities for Women, Environment, Sports, Service/Attendance Award, etc.
  • Plan and Implement Corporate Social Responsibility-oriented (CSR) Activities such as setting up or supporting Pharmacies, Health Centers, Schools, Blood Donation Camps, etc.
  • Prepare Yearly Labor Budget and Periodically Monitor Budget vs. Expenditure Statements
  • Participate in range of Union and IR Issues as needed, to develop Recommendations and/or Support other Staff
  • Negotiate with Union on Annual Review of Pay and Benefits, together with any Structural Changes and Agreements
  • Ensure Implementation of Code of Conduct Policy and provide Counseling to Employees periodically / as per Requirement, and take Disciplinary Action against non-conforming Staff
  • Oversee Contract Labor Management System and Ensure its Compliance
  • Ensure Attendance System is Operational and Salary and Wages of Blue-Collar Workforces are Paid on Time
  • Maintain Discipline in Plant. Implement Blue-Collar Engagement Activities
  • HR Initiatives:
  • Be actively involved in Suggestion Program, Kaizen, Quality Circle, Gemba Walks, Waste Elimination, 5S Activities, Integrated Management System, and Shopfloor Improvement Projects focused on People and Process Excellence
  • Promote Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives. Implement Reward and Recognition Programs to Boost Motivation and Productivity
  • Develop Workforce Policies/Strategies in line with Local Demographic specific inputs to achieve Organizational Goals and Objectives. Ensure Availability of Workforce as per Requirement
  • Understand Management Strategies, interact with HODs and Staff Members
  • Resolve any Grievances of Employees on Shop Floor concerning HR and IR
  • Operate Best HR Practice Initiative and Stay Connected to Departments
