IPv6 Network Design and Planning Specialist

This role is responsible for developing and implementing IPv6 network deployment plans that align with organizational goals.

  • Design IPv6 addressing schemes, subnetting, and hierarchical IP plans to support current and future network growth.
  • Plan and design IPv6 routing architectures using protocols such as OSPFv3, BGP for IPv6, and EIGRP for IPv6.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed network design documentation and deployment guides for IPv6.
  • Assess existing IPv4 infrastructure readiness for IPv6 migration and recommend transition strategies (dual-stack, tunneling, translation).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network operations, security, and application teams for IPv6 deployment.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in IPv6 network design, planning, and deployment, as well as a deep understanding of IPv6 protocols and features.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing IPv6 network architecture.
  • Experience with IPv6 routing protocols such as OSPFv3, BGP for IPv6, and EIGRP for IPv6.
  • Ability to create detailed network design documentation and deployment guides.
  • Understanding of IPv6 migration strategies and transition methods.
