System Administrator Role

As a seasoned system administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and services.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Monitoring the stability of our products using internal tools.
  • Providing L1/L2 support for all hosting products, including cpanel, plesk, vps, cloud, and dedicated servers.
  • Handling incident response, troubleshooting, and fixes for various products and services.
  • Escalating issues as per established policies and procedures.
  • Communicating clearly with the team on tickets and phone calls regarding various issues.
  • Exhibiting a sense of urgency in resolving issues.
  • Developing advanced automation workflows to automate repeated issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • Consistent strong academic performance.
  • Good understanding of Linux Systems, including shell scripting, sed, awk, grep, egrep, vi, vim, emacs, netstat, lsof, strace, ps, atop, dstat, grub boot config, and systems rescue.
  • Fundamentals: basic DNS and networking, TCP/UDP, IP routing, HA and load balancing concepts.
  • Application protocols: SMTP, HTTP, FTP, IMAP, POP.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Understanding of Cloud infrastructure.
  • Systems/Hardware: RAID, LOM, IPMI, KVMs, Dell Hardware.
  • Windows: WMI, PowerShell, VB scripts, MS-SQL fundamentals.
  • Applications: Postfix, qmail, Exim, Database Systems Fundamentals (MySQL, PostgreSQL), Nginx, Apache, Tomcat.
  • Tools/Utilities: Nagios, DHCP, Kickstart, Cobbler, YUM, RPM, GIT, SVN.
