Job Title: Steward/Stewardess for Luxury Hotel Chain

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Steward/Stewardess to join our team at one of India's topmost luxury hotel chains. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring a memorable experience for them.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Greet and welcome guests promptly and warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
  2. Thank and bid farewell to guests, conveying anticipation for their next visit.
  3. Assist guests with table reservations and seating arrangements.
  4. Ensure timely service to guests, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
  5. Possess a thorough knowledge of menu offerings and presentation standards.
  6. Communicate effectively with guests and staff, using clear and professional language.
  7. Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner.
  8. Assist guests with menu selections and provide recommendations.
  9. Apply service techniques correctly at all times, serving food and beverage items with enthusiasm.
  10. Serve food courses and beverages to guests, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
  11. Set tables according to event type and service standards.
  12. Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, and product availability.
  13. Check with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and beverage.
  14. Responsible for clearing, collecting, and returning food and beverage items to their proper areas.
  15. Perform shift closing duties, including reconciling cash and credit card settlements.
  16. Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment, both front and back of house.
  17. Ensure hotel brand standards and SOPs are consistently implemented.
  18. Collaborate with fellow staff and management to achieve the restaurant's full potential.
  19. Complete daily responsibilities and closing duties, including restocking items and turning off lights.
  20. Conduct monthly inventory checks on operating equipment and supplies.
  21. Take an active role in coaching and developing junior staff.
  22. Perform any other duties related to food and beverage service assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of menu offerings and presentation standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
